Fraud warning.
How the firm communicates, what it never asks for, and how to check that a message claiming to be from Saratoga is genuine.
Why this page exists
Investment firms are impersonated. Fraudsters copy a firm’s name, logo, and website, then contact people by email, telephone, or messaging apps with offers the real firm never made. This page describes how Saratoga Capital Advisors, LLC actually communicates so that you can recognize a message that is not from us.
How we communicate
- Email from the firm comes from addresses ending in @saratogacapadvisors.com. Automated notices from this website are sent from @mail.saratogacapadvisors.com and reply to investors@saratogacapadvisors.com.
- The firm’s only website is saratogacapadvisors.com. Investor access codes are issued individually and are used only on that site.
- Program materials are furnished only after eligibility under CFTC Regulation 4.7 has been established, and never through public messaging groups, social-media direct messages, or messaging apps such as WhatsApp or Telegram.
- Client accounts are opened directly with the futures commission merchant. The firm never asks you to send funds to Saratoga, to a personal account, or to a cryptocurrency wallet.
What we never do
- Guarantee returns, or promise that a strategy will not lose money.
- Pressure you to decide quickly or to keep an offer confidential.
- Ask for passwords, one-time codes, or remote access to your computer.
- Change wire or account instructions by email without a telephone confirmation initiated by you to a number you have verified.
How to verify
The firm’s registration, listed principals, and registered associated persons can be checked on NFA BASIC (NFA ID 0578068). If a message claims to come from the firm and anything about it seems off, do not reply to it. Write to investors@saratogacapadvisors.com using an address you typed yourself, and we will confirm whether the message is genuine.
If you have been targeted
Report impersonation of the firm to investors@saratogacapadvisors.com. Suspected fraud involving futures or commodity interests can also be reported to the Commodity Futures Trading Commission and to the National Futures Association. Related pages: Disclosures, Privacy Policy, Terms of Use.
